Scripture Union and COLT

An update on the work of Scripture Union locally and an introduction to the new Crying Out Loud Trust worker.

‘You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same.’

Galatians 5:13-14

Freedom and love go together. If we know that we are loved we are free to love others.

Is freedom for ME or for US?

Galatians 5:1, 13-16

We are free from sin and therefore free for something.
Loving one another can’t exist with personal freedom. Loving God and our neighbour as our selves.

Travels and Baptism

The Vine Trust Mission team and Martina’s testimony (starts at 32 minutes in) and baptism.

The song that Martina refers to is here.

Sharing the Good News

Acts 2:1-18 & 36-41

The early church were so devoted and committed to each other. Are the things made in the first passage things we want to see in our community? We can pray for God to give ourselves confidence and an opportunity to share the Good News this week.

He Loves You!

Romans 5:5

Do we really believe that God loves us and that His Holy Spirit can live in us? Do we feel it? Have we  asked to feel it?

We apologise that unfortunately this recording started late and so doesn’t have the first few minutes.

Lifelong Learning

Luke 24:13-35, John 21:15-19 & Matthew 28:16-20

Between Easter Sunday and the Ascension many events took place. These were all part of the disciples’ continued learning. Are we still learning and growing with Jesus to deepen our faith?

Pentecost & the Holy Spirit

Genesis 2:1-2, John 3:5, John 16:8, Romans 8:11, John 14:26, Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22-23, 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 and Luke 11:9-13.
Ask, seek, knock. Our Father gives the holy spirit to those who ask Him.

How have you experienced the Holy Spirit and how would you like to experience it?

John 13:37, John 18:17, 25-26, Acts 2:38 & Luke 11:9-13

Do I want the boldness to share the good news?
Do I want people to come to faith?
Do i wan to truly love other people like God would have me do?
Do I want to see healings and miracles – God at work?
Only God can transform us to give us Peter’s boldness – we need to ask for it.
