The dedication of the temple

1 Kings 8:55-61

So that the people of the world will know the Lord is the only true God.
Does our refurbished building facilitate meeting with God?

David & Goliath

1 Samuel 17:1-58.

We need God’s insight to see things differently. 2 Timothy 1:7. “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”

God Looks On The Heart

1 Samuel 15:35-16:13

While the world gives us worth by what we have or look like, God looks at our hearts. Does this impact on the decisions you make? Proverbs 3:5-6.

God is King

1 Samuel 8:1-22

Jesus our King leads us. Do we reject him as the Israelites did?
We are called to be different, not to blend in.
Do we come to God when making decisions or look for security elsewhere?

Liberty to the Captives

Acts 5:17-26
Luke 4:18-19 – “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.

Despite persecution God loves to free us.

The Story Continues

Acts 5:17-42

There is much persecution which is how the devil attacks the church. We mustn’t get complacent in how we serve God, as the Laodiceans did (Revalations 3:14-22).

The Acts of God and His apostles

Acts chapters 1 to 28.

This book is the acts of God through many people. How will you allow Him to work through you this week?
